York Minster if one of the world's oldest and most beautiful cathedrals, and this winter visitors to the ancient building are being given the opportunity to witness the most stunning view of Yorkshire possible from the top of the Minster's tower. Commencing from November 1, the tours will take visitors past medieval pinnacles and gargoyles to see over the rooftops of the cathedral which was built in sixth century. Visitors are advised that there are 275 steps to climb within a narrow space, so there are health and safety restrictions that mean the tour may not be suitable for everyone.
