Skidby Windmill promises a great day out for all the family. Directly adjacent to the old warehouses that form the East Riding Museum of Rural Life. The windmill is the last working mill of it's type in Yorkshire and was built in 1821. The mill is run, weather permitting, by the miller and mill volunteers between Wednesdays and Sundays and produces various grades of wholemeal flour.
Meanwhile, the museums provides visitors with many displays illustrating the agricultural and rural history of the area and also includes simple, child friendly interactive exhibits.
Both the mill and the museum are just a 40 minute drive from our holiday cottages, following the East Yorkshire coast to four miles south of Beverley. For further information on opening times and events, please call the Booking Office in 01482 392773
