Visitors to Burton Agnes Hall this August are in for a treat, as areas of the historic house that are normally off limits to the general public may now be viewed thanks to a guided tour, taking place on the 29th of the month. Although the house has been generally open to visitors for many years now, the areas of the house involved in tour have never been open to public before. Areas involved will include the family sitting room, bedrooms and kitchen and even the room in which a skull belonging to the resident ghost is said to be hidden. Visitors will also have access to the regular areas of the house and gardens as usual.
Another behind the scenes tour is due to take place in early October; more on that from us at a later date. Tickets for the tour are £12 per person and must be booked in advance. To book tickets and for all other tour information, contact the Estate Office on 01262 490324.
