Award Winning Museum Re-opens for 2012

Fewer than 12 miles south of Bridlington and  less than half an hour away from our accommodation lies the unspoilt coastal town of Hornsea. Like Bridlington, Hornsea boasts beautiful coastline and all the trappings that you would expect from a traditional seaside town.

Famous to collectors globally for producing Hornsea Pottery, Hornsea is also the venue for the Hornsea Museum, owner of the largest collection of Hornsea Pottery anywhere in the world. The award winning museum has recently reopened again for the summer.

The museum itself spans three building on Hornsea's High Street. In addition to the pottery collection, visitors can experience many other exhibits and displays illustrating the rich heritage of East Yorkshire, from it's role in the Industrial Revolution through to it's key involvement in World War Two.
