Scarborough Spa Presents The Nutcracker Family Christmas Muscial

In the lead-up to Christmas, the Scarborough Spa presents the magical production of The Nutcracker, with the Russian State Ballet and Opera House, on Thursday 26^th November at 07:30pm.

The timeless, seasonal classic welcomes you to witness the magical winter wonderland, brimming with festive energy, beautiful ballet, dancing snowflakes and the famous sugar plum fairy. The Nutcracker performance will feature an impressive, talented cast, accompanied by a live orchestra of over 30 musicians.

The Christmas favourite is based on “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” written by E.T.A Hoffmann and ensures that this classical ballet performance remains just as spell-binding today as it did when it was performed 120 years ago. The performance tells the story of a sad, young girl, Marie, whose godfather, Drosselmeyer gives her a Nutcracker doll as present on Christmas Eve. The Nutcracker soon turns into a Prince, which is where the magical journey begins…
